Johnstown Castle
Built between 1810 and 1855 for the Grogan-Morgan family who were the biggest untitled landowners in Ireland. The property was presented as a gift to the Irish Nation in 1945 upon the death of the last resident Lady M Fitzgerald.
The castle itself a gothic revival style mansion is not open to the public but the wonderful 50 acre gardens are. Also in the grounds is the excellent Irish Agricultural Museum, which includes an amazing collection of Irish county furniture, which also hosts an excellent Famine exhibition.
Matted in forest green and framed beautifully in either black or cherry wood.
Each print signed and dated by artist.
