At the age of 17 Róisín went to the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, graduating with a Degree in Fine Art. She then received a scholarship to attend Post Graduate studies at the City Art Institute in Sydney, Australia, graduating with a Diploma in Multi-Media and Fine Arts. Róisín rarely exhibits her work and only releases a very small number of original paintings for sale each year. Many celebrity personalities are enamoured of the artist's work.

Róisín's paintings are now in the private collections of former U.S. Presidents George Bush Snr, and Bill Clinton. European Royalty H.R.H. Prince Charles of England and Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands were presented with Róisín O'Shea paintings by the British Embassy and the Irish Government respectively. She was also commissioned to create a series of paintings for the Skywalker Corporation, for a Star Wars World Tour promoting the latest Star Wars movie. Oscar award winning actress Brenda Fricker commissioned a painting, and former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Jean Kennedy Smith along with members of the Kennedy family have original paintings and Fine Art Prints of the artist's work, even Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenager and his wife Maria Shriver have their very own Róisín O'Shea Personalised Pub Prints!
