Born and raised in Dublin, Sue Bryan moved to New York City in 1989. It was
during her time away from home that she developed her passion for drawing
with pen and ink. Inspired by turn-of-the century photographs of Ireland she
came across in antique shops and second-hand bookstores, she discovered
her fascination with the elegant cities and small towns depicted in these
nostalgic images. Her attention to detail is such that she sometimes spends
months working on a picture, getting lost in the tiny brickwork of an old facade.
Her drawings are reproduced as Limited Edition Fine Art Prints on specially
treated heavyweight watercolor paper, delivering an exceptional image with the
look and feel of authentic character. It is difficult to fully appreciate the detail of
Sue's drawings on this website, so please take the time to view a selection of
close-up 'slices' of her images.
All Limited Edition Prints are reproduced with archival inks on specially treated
heavyweight watercolor paper using a revolutionary pigment based Ultra-
ChromeTM printing process. As well as delivering an extremely high quality
print, this technology offers the benefit of exceptional resistance to light and
fading, providing an archival image that will last over a century.
Open Edition Prints are reproduced on specially treated heavy-weight matte
paper with archival inks using the same process.
Each Limited Edition Print is hand-signed and numbered by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Each print is professionally framed under glass in a variety of beautiful solid wood frames. Some prints are also available unframed and matted.
